It has been really interesting to watch the development of the Christmas TV advert over the past few years. Arguably led by John Lewis, these annual festive mini films have progressed far beyond the ‘buy this’ format into really interesting talking points about what the meaning of Christmas actually is. They are a great resource and lesson starter for talking about feelings, mental health and well being. So this year I have created a festive advent calendar with a new window for each remaining school day. You can use them as discussion starters, prompts for writing (what happens next….!) and much besides.
