St Edwards were the latest school to visit AV Dawson’s new Headquarters today on a TVCA funded World of Work Day. Yes they learned to code Dash robots and yes they learned about the Tees Valley area and the fabulous businesses in it but they also had a special treat. One of the stars of the videos from the interactive map, Lily Brothwood from Intelect, popped in to speak to the children and answer questions. What was particularly special was that she used to be a pupil at the school. In fact one of the teachers recognised her! The children were able to make the link between being a pupil in their school to a real career, locally, in an engineering company. Lily was brilliant as ever in explaining how she uses her skills from her interests and passion to be successful in her professional career.
