At the beginning of term, something truly special happened at Coatham Primary School. The launch of the POW Ambassador Programme has set Year 5 pupils on an exhilarating path towards becoming future leaders. The atmosphere was electric, filled with excited chatter and wide-eyed curiosity as these young learners began exploring their dreams and future careers.
In the lead-up to this amazing programme, we dove deep into thought-provoking discussions about equality, aspirations, and what it means to be a leader in today’s world. Our two powerful sessions at Coatham Primary weren’t just about talks – they were about action, giving these pupils the tools and the inspiration they need to reach for the stars. And to make it even better, last year’s Year 6 POW Ambassadors came back to help guide this new generation of trailblazers, sharing valuable insights and even showing them the ropes with live demos on how to network like a pro!
But the excitement didn’t stop there. We took it up a notch by giving the Year 5s an unforgettable experience: their first-ever professional interview! Fifteen eager students walked into the interview room with confidence and ambition, ready to show us why they’re the leaders of tomorrow. The competition was fierce — every single student impressed us with their thoughtful application forms and dynamic interview performances. In the end, with the help of Sophie from POW, we selected four incredible young ambassadors from this talented group, but honestly, they all shone brightly!
It’s clear that this is just the beginning of an inspiring journey. With each session, we see the flame of ambition burn even brighter in these pupils. Their potential is limitless, and we can’t wait to see what they achieve as they champion equality and aspirations in their school and beyond.
Well done, Coatham Primary School! The future is yours — and it looks brilliant!
